History
Alexandrina Maria da Costa was born on March 30, 1904, in Balasar, Portugal.
When she was 14 years old, she jumped out of a very high window to escape some men who wanted to harm her and, despite the treatments she underwent, she was paralyzed and lying in bed from 1925 until the date of her death, in 1955.
Alexandrina consecrated her life to God. For four years, from 1938 to 1942, every Friday, he lived, body and soul, the Passion of Jesus. And from 1942 until his death, he lived in fasting, eating only the Eucharist.
On April 25, 2004, Alexandrina was beatified in Rome by Pope St. John Paul II.
