History
Mary Magdalene was born in the village of Magdala (hence her name Magdalene), located near the Sea of Galilee. Mary Magdalene was a devout disciple of Jesus. He accompanied Him in life while Jesus announced the good news of the Kingdom of God, and remained by His side on Calvary and the Tomb. It was in the Sepulcher that Mary Magdalene witnessed the Resurrection and the first appearance of Jesus. Her feast day is July 22nd.
