History
Saint Benedict was born on March 24, 480 in Nursia, Italy. The family sent him to Rome to complete his studies. Disappointed with the way of life in the city, he took refuge in a cave on Mount Subiaco for three years, where he devoted himself to reflection. He founded the Benedictine Order whose motto is “Ora et Labora”, which in Portuguese means “Pray and Work”. The Sanctuary of São Bento da Porta Aberta had its origins in a chapel built in 1640, and the name comes from the fact that the chapel's doors were always open, giving shelter to travellers.

The order is processed upon receipt of payment for it. Its delivery, depending on the chosen shipment, will take between 2-5 working days. Shipping is free for orders over €49.
Returns
