History
Thomas Aquinas was born in 1225, into a noble family, in Roccasecca, in the region of Lazio, Italy. When he was still young, he became a friar in the Dominican Order, and finished theological studies at the University of Paris in 1249. Thomas Aquinas was a great Catholic philosopher and theologian. He is considered the father of Thomism and an important classical proponent of natural theology. His best-known work is the Summa Theologiae. Thomas Aquinas was canonized by Pope John XXII in 1323, and later recognized as a Doctor of the Church. His feast day is January 28th.
