Golden Nag Chandan incense has sandalwood in its essence.
Sandalwood's magical career began in India, where it has been used as a sacred incense since the beginning of time. In the beginning, people noticed that Sandalwood was not attacked by termites, which may have led to its reputation as a protective wood. Perfume is one of the most pleasing to the Gods.
In India, the scent of Sandalwood permeates almost every Hindu house and temple. The wood is carved into prayer beads (japamalas), ground into a powder to make a paste for forehead anointing, and reverently placed on funeral pyres. It is believed to have cooling and calming properties and to direct one's attention to the divine realms.
It is popular in mixed frankincense and blends well with the sacred resins Frankincense and Myrrh. Golden Nag Chandan incense is considered to have a very high vibration, ideal for devotional and angelic magic. Sandalwood has a calming and sedative effect and helps with meditation. In ritual formulas, it is used for purification, consecration, relaxation and peace.
