Iemanjá Little Drops of Water

When she was still a child, Iemanjá's father gave her a magic potion that would help her escape from all dangers. Iemanjá married Oduduá, with whom he had ten Orixá children. But Iemanjá was not happy with her marriage and decided to separate from her husband. A while later, he fell in love with King Okerê and was not equally happy. One day, King Okerê offended Iemanjá by referring to her breasts in a derogatory way. Iemanjá used the potion that her father had given her as a child and, to escape her husband, she transformed herself into a river that would flow into the sea. But the king pursued Iemanjá and it turned into a mountain that prevented the river from continuing its course. It was with the help of his son Xangô, who made his way through the valleys, that Iemanjá finally managed to reach the sea. Iemanjá is the Queen of the Seas and the mother of almost all Orixás.
