History
Already the Christians of the first centuries called Mary with the name of Auxiliadora. In the 16th century, Pope Saint Pius V introduced the title Help of Christians in the Litany of Our Lady, for the victory in the battle of Lepanto. In 1814, Pope Pius VII established the Feast of Mary Help of Christians on May 24, as a gesture of gratitude for her release. In 1815, S. João Bosco was born, whom Mary later, in dreams, asked to build a temple with the title of Help of Christians. And so, the saint started two monuments: the physical one, which is the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians in Turin, and the “living” one, formed by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians. “Entrust everything to the Eucharistic Jesus and Mary Help of Christians and you will see what miracles are”, said St. John Bosco.

Returns
